This is the second collection of Phil Hooley songs released by The Woolgatherers, following their critically acclaimed first album "Long Way To Indigo". Heavily influenced by songwriters such as Nick Lowe, Guy Clark and John Prine, Phil's songs are carefully crafted and the album "I See" flows from sharp social comment to tender love songs. Each band member bring their own influences to bear, and the arrangements reflect this with bluesy guitars, folk-based fiddle playing with a country groove. Add to this the wonderfully inventive saxophones of Dave Kemp and you have an album which delights.
